It may be a gay bar—the erotic male nudes on the wall give you a hint—but the Menagerie has also been the bar of choice for Riverside art hipsters for a long time, giving it double appeal and business. So if you’re going for ’80s night, the drag shows, or the cheap beer, it doesn’t matter what your persuasion is, so long as you’re gay (meaning happy). It’s the Menagerie’s 25th year and the best news is the Menagerie has ditched the cover charge. (Kevin Ausmus)
