When Beard Papa Cream Puffs hit the States, some thought the Osaka, Japan-based confection would cause a pastry mania along the lines of Krispy Kreme donuts. This didn’t happen, but that’s no reason to deny yourself the pleasure of Japanese vanilla custard filled shu-kurimu, light and fluffy and lick your fingers clean good.
