Best Place to Go When the Price of Gas is Driving You Apeshit
Riverside Bus Station
By: Bill Gerdes
What’s fresher than the bus station? Even a few short years ago the answer would be just about everything. With four-dollar-a-gallon gas though everything turns around and bus travel is suddenly, if not chic, at least an option to consider. And the Riverside bus station is the epicenter of bus culture in the IE—not only a central hub, but the place. Where can you witness a brawl, an arrest, or a screaming match between some of your fellow travelers while waiting on that bus to Indio? Nowhere, bubba. The bus is also a great option when you’re heading to LA or San Diego for the weekend and don’t want to pay the insane parking prices many hotels are charging. Go green. Go bus. (Bill Gerdes)
