We still can’t understand why on Earth folks from the greater Inland Empire spend their time and dollars venturing out of town to Mammoth to sign off on fresh powder when there’s a perfectly awesome mountain sitting right in our back-freaking-yards. Well, if you’ve got an answer, we’re all rabbit ears and bunny slopes. Until then, our vote’s on Bear Mountain, which features a dozen lifts and four mountain peaks some 8,000-ft. in the air spread across over 700 acres. And that’s plenty of slope action for us, and it’s damn near literally a stone’s throw. (Waleed Rashidi)
