There’s an image that pulsates out of Grand Terrace like radar ripples to the rest of the world—it’s the now world famous TapouT brand, and it’s a pretty severe strike to Oakland Raiders apparel. Known primarily for its exponential growth within the world of mixed martial arts, TapouT has become an attitude for the leisurely hoodrat, as well as a cultural statement both in and out of the ring. In an MSNBC special not that long ago, the president of TapouT (and erstwhile disco king) Marc Kreiner projected TapouT to become a billion dollar business in a few years. Not sure it’s gotten quite that big yet, but score one for brohemia; this is the IE’s most famous anything. Even Wayne “Wayneiac” Weems wears the brand from time to time, and anybody who bore witness to that fitness knows he’s a modern warrior. (Braxton Leeds)
